Eldon has worked at the Turtle Bread Company for almost 4 years, and even from his very first day--actually, night--on the job, he was faced with a locked bakery at the beginning of his shift. Rather than just turn around and crawl back into his nice warm bed, he broke a window to make sure he could get that bread dough started!
As a baker, Eldon learned his trade at a variety of well-known Minneapolis
restaurants like Figlio, Rock Bottom, and the Nicollet Island Inn). He even spent
time in Austria baking for those crazy Alp-dwellers. But in our opinion, Eldon's
most compelling qualification for life in the food industry
is being a hungry musician. You can see him play bluegrass on Monday nights at
Sherlock's Home in Minnetonka - and if Tenzin's in the audience, you'll hear the
best laugh ever, which Eldon thinks sums up what Turtle Bread is.

These days, most of Eldon's adventures at the Turtle are limited to daytime hours - Eldon became a dad last summer, and a dad needs to be home at night with his beautiful daughter, not out breaking-and-entering into Lynden Hills businesses. So now, you'll find him in the bakery whipping out tray after tray of the Turtles wonderful pastries. When you walk by the bakery, be sure to knock on the window and wave.
