Pure Adrenaline

We run the retail portion of Turtle bread on most weekends with pure adrenaline. Andy, Amalia, Amy and Carmen: together, they provide enough excitement and verve to levitate the store.

Amalia has been with us the longest. She is graduating from Arts High School very soon, and wants to go to college as far away as possible. She is the fashion plate, the mom (don't smoke, don't drink), and generally the non-stop talker of the group. Occasionally, you can even see her working in the front.

Carmen's father is from Costa Rica and her mom from Wisconsin, thus she is quite comfortable in Spanish or English. She's a junior at St. Louis Park High school and is hoping to get her driver's license soon. Amy: the quite one. She's a senior at Blake and has applied to 14 colleges (both her parents are attorney's and believe in belts and suspenders). She doesn't know what she wants to do except not be an attorney.

Andy Moralis has spent most of her life in Median, Columbia. Her father is columbian and her mother, american, who taught in the American school in Median where Andy attended. She can speak Spanish so fast that most of our spanish speaking employees can't understand her. She's not much slower in English, and she hardly ever stops talking. I usually don't ever get to see Andy, just a blur going by. Her two favorite things seem to be: 1) telling me that she already has done what I have asked her to do, taking great pride in being ahead of the game, and 2) getting all the men who work at the Turtle to obey her every whim. There are a few hold outs who hesitate, but Andy tells me she's working on them. Andy is a junior at Edina High School, but wants to go to college next year.

Together, these four girls have the energy to transform everyone around them into giggles, laughter and excitement. Come in Sunday morning, have them make you a latte, and listen to the laughter.
