Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner?

Early birds can stop by our Chicago or Linden Hills location for a full hot breakfast menu, or hit up any of our three locations for a quick bite before work. If lunch is on your mind, you have a world of options, from full menu meals to a simple delicious soup and sandwich at any of our three locations. For dinner, Cafe Levain, Pizza Biga and Tosca all offer full dinner service.

Eat and Drink.

Turtle Bread has been pleasing palates for more than a decade. Since we first opened our doors, we’ve expanded from one small corner bread-baking shop to three bakeries and three restaurants. Whether it’s a croissant, a loaf of multi-grain bread, a wood-fire-grilled pizza, tender short ribs or a rustic Italian pasta you crave – we’ve got you covered.

Soups Fantastic

Every day our soup chef, Daniel, prepares fresh soups for each of Turtle Bread’s three locations. While Tomato Basil has long been established as our number-one seller, other recipes such as Garbanzo Spinach and Chicken Tortilla are fast becoming customer favorites. Selections vary daily by location; please contact your nearest Turtle Bread for a listing of the day’s soups.

Wine on your mind?

Owner Harvey McLain lends tremendous care and expertise to maintaining the Café Levain and Tosca wine lists. Both feature a variety of grapes with origins spanning the globe and price points that won’t break your budget. Don’t see your favorite selection of the list? Bring in your own bottle from home to either restaurant for a small corkage fee of $15.

Who cut the cheese?

No need for embarrassment – it was us. The Linden Hills and Chicago Ave. locations stock a hearty selection of cheeses ready to slice and arrange on a tray for your next party, or cut into individual serving sizes that pair perfectly with a slice of our baguette for a quick lunch.
